Epona Celtic ritual offering candle

$26.99

We are upgrading our tins and label art! Please note, photos shown do not represent the item you receive. You will receive the new tin with new labels. Also, the offering of pine needles has been replaced with juniper berries. Updated photos will be added when available. We appreciate your understanding during the transition!

This ritual offering candle is created to honor the goddess Epona, known for bestowing fertility, abundance and protection. She also has dominion over horses, donkeys and mules. The candle's scent is jasmine as flowers are an appropriate offering to her. Other offerings the candle is adorned with are: holly, peppermint leaves, citrine, tiger's eye and juniper berries. It comes in a 3" x 2", 8 oz. tin.*

The goddess Epona guards horses, mules and donkeys as well as those who are associated with them such as breeders, trainers, equestrians and others who work with them. Horses are considered oracular animals, attuned to the desires of spirits and deities. As such, Epona is able to help her followers determine their destinies and guide them toward the correct path. Additionally, horses also correspond to abundance, therefore, Epona is known to shower her worshipers with abundance, as well as healing and peace. Originally known as a Celtic goddess, Epona is the only deity to be officially integrated into the Roman religion without having her name or characteristics "Romanized" as the Greek's deities were.

Bringing offerings to deities is a time-honored tradition. With 30+ hours of burn time, you will be able to honor Epona an hour a day, every day for a month, if you so choose!

*Kindly note that due to the unique nature of hand-made goods and the availability of materials, adornments, ingredients and colors may vary from those shown. But know that each candle will be equally beautiful and perfectly appropriate for each entity.
